various - personal space: electronic soul 1974-84 [chocolate industries] buyon a regular after-work music-hunting tuesday, one of our fellow members of the colectivo futuro gang happened to come across this recently released compilation. as the title suggests, this is a collection of very personal music; quite possibly made without any ambitions of reaching mainstream fame and which more often than not ended in a dusty second-hand record shop. fortunately for us, the always reliable Numero Group has unearthed 17 gems for our listening pleasures and bringing up the question: how many more of these rare gems are still hiding and waiting to be found out in the wild?. the album is full of great music, ‘excerpts from autumn’ and ‘disco from a space show’ are trippy instrumental opening tunes that slowly immerse the listener into the core of the subject. these songs are followed by the groovy number ‘i finally found the love i need’ which represents the essence of underground minimalist home made funk. other titles such as ‘it’s all over’ and ‘one more time’ feature those soulful ballads that appear in the ending credits of late seventies tv action films that we “enjoy” watching on a sunday morning. ultimately, this album presents itself as a treasure vault from a forgotten era that deserves more than a close listen from any music lover. highly recommended! go deep in the adventure via spotify.](http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4ceyhHyxx1qzan1ao1_500.jpg)
